GRA-VIA is Gravel Crit racing, a new race concept consisting of short track 1.1 KM circuit raced between 20min - 1hr.
Set in Belgium the heartland of cycling. Gent will be the host city. The circiuit is situated in the Arsenaal train yards a unique post industrial location offering a unique opportunity to set this first in the series of gravel races, GRA-VIA.
All race catagories will be held over the weekend Sept 11 -13th 2026 including a running races.
The senior Mens and Womens crit races on Saturday will be held as heats. Each rider will race a 30 minute heat and the fastest half will go through to two finals, A and B. This is our first event so dependent on numbers we plan to allocate the finals to 60 riders max. There will be up to 6 heats so lots of opportuntity for lots of riders. Heats will be held between 11.00 - 14.00 with the finals from 20.00.
Friday there will be three 3KM races. 3 laps of the track, first up a communirty race for all comers then an elite Womens and Elite Mens race. Entrants to these racs need to have run under 20 mins for a 5KM womsens race and 17 mins 5KM for mens race. We want be checking on the day but reliant on honesty !

The circuit is a mix terrain of concrete, tarmac, gravel and grass. This is an epic venue and features many challenging sections including, railway lines, small ridable ridges up and down and the circuits special feature of racing through the train depots main building. Entering large double doors at one end through the buildings internal arches and out the other end. Its very fast, very techniocal high octane gravel crit racing.
There will some amazing prizes given out over the weekend for podium finishers.
The racing will be run independenty and all riders will need to sign a waiver prior to entering.
Once riders have enetered there will be a race manual sent out prior to the event . Some of the race timings might change we will keep all entrants updated.
